Michael Millerman joins us for a great chat about political
philosophy, Russia’s Dugin, cancel culture, and the importance of
meta physics in politics and culture, and teaching outside the
system.
We get into how he moved from Ph.D to teaching on his own
after he was cancelled by the UofT, because he was teaching
philosophy from pariah philosophers. Since anything not Liberal is
considered Fascist or worst you can’t even study other works.
Heidegger, Pederson, 4th political theory, liberal modernity,
multi polar vs uni polar, meaning of being, the black logos, the
high and the low and how phenomenology, and mysticism plays a role
in politics. Or should.
In the Second half we get into our separation from nature, the
98% drift, Plato’s republic, the eternal political struggle for
freedom, the pendulum and the sweet spot, city states, failure of
the post modern, the ’nicer’ view of the new world order from some
elites in the early 1900’s, the obfuscation of the enlightenment,
distinct human principles, the deep right neutrality, the
unbridgeable gap between the profane and the wise, and some of
Darren’s recent examples of people waking up to the tyranny and how
it’s time to stand and speak up so this doesn’t happen
again.
We also talk about Michael’s school and teaching live lectures
